2025 here we come! New year new resolutions for a new cohort of SHEpreneurs!

Talia Women’s Network launched the Nyakudya Village SHEpreneurs of the Street Business School (SBS) program with 57 women. The baseline survey revealed that while most participants were already engaged in small businesses, such as selling clothes, groceries, broiler chickens, and small-scale farming—these ventures were primarily hand-to-mouth operations with limited or no growth. Only a few of the SHEpreneurs reported having no business ventures at all at the start of the program.

The SHEpreneurs are currently on Module 3: Finding Capital and Starting Small. Previous modules focused on getting them out of their comfort zones and identifying business opportunities to boost the local economy. The women have shown strong engagement, and some have already started applying their learning to improve and rethink their business strategies.

Overall, the program is progressing well, with high levels of participation, peer support, and growing confidence among the SHEpreneurs.
