GRACE opened a family resource center in the city of Korat. Korat is the short name for Nakhon Ratchasima and is considered the gateway to Isaan region of northeastern Thailand. The region is primarily agricultural with many families working in the agricultural industry. Compared with the big cities of Thailand, these provinces are more impoverished and illiterate.
GRACE serves the permanent and transient residents living in various substandard communitites throughout the city of Korat. Your generous donations provide educational support for the children.
The children are shuttled to and from the family resource centers from their communities after school on Mondays and Tuesdays. The program provides homework assistance, tutoring and English language classes. Participation has grown to almost fifty children. GRACE expanded the services another weekday to greater meet the needs of our participants.
GRACE added two staff team members to the existing staff. Now, with six dedicated staff members, children receive music, reading comprehension, and other lessons each week.
Thank you for continual support as children are growing in knowledge and understanding.
