Fatimah, A Success Story Transcending Disability
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader
![]()
Our student Fatimah is a living example of a willpower that knows no impossibilities. Despite the physical disability she lives with and the harsh displacement conditions that forced her into an environment lacking basic stability, she refused to be a victim of her reality.
Fatimah chose Masarat to be her window to knowledge, finding in our flexible educational system the perfect solution to overcome mobility barriers and distances. Thanks to her unparalleled determination, Fatimah did not just finish her school education; today, she is a proud university student in the Arabic Language Department, carrying her books and her confident smile as a message to the world that an enlightened mind can break all chains.
Fatimah's success is a source of pride for Masarat and conclusive evidence that your support changes destinies. Thank you for believing in our students' abilities and for contributing to transforming Fatimah's journey from the suffering of displacement to the halls of the university.

Six Years of Giving and Building
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

As December comes to a close, we celebrate the sixth anniversary of the founding of the Masarat Initiative. These six years haven't just been numbers; they represent a long journey of diligent work, beautiful effort, and achievements that we see today in our students' eyes. It has been a journey defined by "giving without expectation," as we strove for Masarat to be the bridge across which our students—especially orphans—cross toward the shores of safety and knowledge.
Throughout these six years, we have witnessed the birth of thousands of dreams every day. We watched as simple tents and homes transformed into vibrant classrooms, and we saw the determination of our heroic students as they overcame injuries and harsh conditions to prove that willpower cannot be defeated. At Masarat, we don't just provide education; we plant hope and nurture talents that we believe will rebuild Syria’s future.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, and thank you to our donors via GlobalGiving who made this giving possible. Today, we renew our commitment to remain the support system, ensuring our students' dreams come true year after year.

20 New Voices for a Better Future
By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

In any competitive work environment, the fear of public speaking and weak communication skills remains a major barrier to youth advancement. This deficiency prevents ambitious individuals from presenting their ideas, causing them to lose golden opportunities for leadership and influence in their personal and professional lives.
Masarat concluded the "Art of Communication and Public Speaking Skills" training in Damascus, with the attendance of 20 young men and women who have now mastered this vital skill. Through it, they can transform tension into confidence and confusion into clarity, making them ready to excel in any job interview or professional meeting.
Thanks to this training, our graduates have acquired an essential skill that will positively affect their personal lives (in social relationships) and their professional lives (in opening doors to employment and leadership).
Thank you, for you invested in their present and future, and supported them so their vision can reach where it needs to go.
