Could this be the year we make a difference?!
Amid tents battered by harsh winds and walls that fail to provide safety, our students stood firm against challenges far beyond their years and dreams. Yet, within their hearts, a subtle feeling crept in... a sense that life could change, that the strength they needed was within them, waiting to be discovered.
This was the turning point in our recent session, "Resilience and Adaptability Skills" — a moment that bridged fear and hope, stagnation and growth.
At the start of this new year, we began the first student activity session, titled "Resilience and Adaptability Skills." This session was a gift to those in desperate need of a tool to help them face life's daily challenges and harsh surprises in refugee camps.
It was more than an educational session; it was a beacon of hope, lighting a path they had not seen before.
But why do we believe in the importance of resilience and adaptability?
The session introduced the concept of resilience and adaptability—core skills for achieving psychological and emotional well-being. The students explored the foundational principles of these skills, their importance, and how they differ among individuals. Through discussions and interactive activities, the session covered the following themes:
The atmosphere was charged with energy and vitality as students shared their personal experiences, challenges, and discoveries. Their thoughts and stories intertwined to create profound human moments. They spoke of their struggles:
During the session, the program leader posed a thought-provoking question:
"What can we change to become stronger and more resilient?"
The students' answers were inspiring and reflective:
Now, they are ready for life.
What happened in this session won’t end within its walls. The students will carry what they learned into their daily lives, their decisions, and their dreams, which are now beginning to awaken once again. Thanks to your support, they can now see a new world of opportunities, despite all the challenges.
Think about it… How does it feel to know that your contribution changes a person’s life?
We are grateful that you are part of our journey. With you, we can continue providing these invaluable programs.
