Imagine a feeling that relentlessly follows you, nearly taking control of your thoughts and dreams… that is anxiety. But what if we told you it has become a gateway to success for our students?!
In our quest to create a safe and supportive educational environment, the Academic Guidance Team, in collaboration with a psychological specialist, held a session titled "Causes of Anxiety and Strategies for Overcoming It."
But how can anxiety serve as a message, a signal urging us toward a deeper understanding of our inner selves? In this session, students explored the concept of anxiety, learned to distinguish it from fear, and discovered how these feelings impact their bodies and minds. What can happen when young people gain a deeper understanding of their emotions? Through this session, they realized that managing anxiety is achievable, and they are stronger than they thought.
As part of cognitive-behavioral therapy, we provided our students with effective tools for handling anxiety. These included relaxation strategies to ease physical tension, techniques for shifting negative thoughts to motivational ones, and mindfulness exercises to help them restore inner balance.
The session concluded with a meaningful discussion with the psychological specialist, where students voiced their questions, shared their fears and hopes. These moments of conversation were more than just a dialogue; they were an opportunity for students to discover unexpected support and reassurance, knowing that someone understands them and shares their journey toward change.
And the results were astounding! Students became more focused and more at ease in their academic path. No longer were pressures holding them back; instead, they were propelling them forward.
This impact would not have been possible without you. You are a partner in every success, in every smile on our students’ faces, and in every moment they overcome anxiety to pave their way toward a brighter future.
