A few days ago, my 18-year-old son was involved in a minor car accident, thankfully, he came out safe and unharmed.
But what truly shook my heart was the very first thing he did: he called me, his voice was trembling, yet calm at the same time, because he found someone to answer, someone to say: “I’m here, don’t worry.”
At that moment, I couldn’t stop thinking about our students in Masarat, What do they do when they’re afraid? Who answers their call when they need reassurance?
We may never be able to fill the void of loss completely, but what we can do is be grateful for our donors on GlobalGiving, because of your support, we can offer them a different kind of safety, a path filled with knowledge, hope, and connection, a path that reminds them there are people who care, and who believe they can rise again, no matter how deep their pain.
