Theatre, puppets, cinema...these are some of the ways we reach the Yaruquí community to promote respectful parenting and prevent sexual violence.
The characters in our activities teach fathers, mothers and educators about the importance of building relationships based on trust and listening to our children, since this is one of the most effective tools to detect risks of sexual violence.
We explain to caregivers that, although we can provide children with information to identify the main risks, the main responsibility for their protection falls on adults.
In addition, we explore the actions and protection routes that exist in the locality to protect your rights and provide a directory of local protection institutions.
Let's see some testimonies:
“It was very opportune, we did not have precise knowledge of where to go, we had an idea, but now we have quite clear information. And children too, it never hurts to warn them about these matters, thank you very much!”
“Today's talk is very interesting, now we know how we could act and the mechanisms that exist”
