My name is Maria and I'll be a GlobalGiving Field Traveler in South America in 2017! I'll be visiting around 55 GlobalGiving nonprofit partners in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina, meeting with visionaries that are addressing problems in their communities such as rural poverty, animal conservation, education, water and food availability.
Many regions of the world are aided by outstanding nonprofit organizations such as those supported by GlobalGiving. Many of these organizations are working in local communities and lack visibility and resources. As a Field Traveler, I can offer organizations face-to-face support and a helping hand to the people who are allowing the projects to succeed.
While there I'll help organizations grow their knowledge of resources available through this platform to better support their constituents and community. I'll be informing organizations through in-person workshops, visits to projects, and one-on-one consultations, how they can use GlobalGiving's resouces and crowdfunding platform to help them grow and as a result make a greater and sustainable impact in their communities.
