Since our last update in November 2025, the Health & Help clinic has remained a steadfast resource for the women of La Salvia, ensuring that medical care remains accessible even as we work toward our final $5,000 goal. In this remote region on the slopes of the Cosigüina volcano, our team continues to provide essential services that the community cannot find elsewhere due to a lack of public transport and difficult terrain. We are focusing our daily efforts on treating prevalent respiratory issues like asthma caused by open-fire cooking, managing chronic hypertension, and offering consistent pregnancy support and family planning to the women who rely on us as their primary health link.
The attached photo of a mother and her daughter consulting with our medical staff captures the heart of our mission: ensuring that no family is left vulnerable simply because of their geography. While we have $4,663 remaining to fully fund this project, the clinic’s doors remain open every day thanks to the foundation laid by our supporters. Your belief in this mission allows us to provide the medications and consultations necessary to keep these women healthy, productive, and empowered. We are deeply grateful for your continued commitment to ensuring that no one in Nicaragua dies because they live too far from a doctor.
Sincerely,
The Health & Help Team
