This summer, partnering with the Alphabots team (https://alphabotsrobotics.com ) in Fremont, California, EEF facilitated a workshop with students from Tongwei and Shacheng in China. The workshop was taught by three students from Alphabots: V. Luo, D. Xu, and S. Lao. The Alphabots team developed and conducted an interesting and challenging curriculum in Chinese and English. D. Xu said “Thanks to Evergreen I have the opportunity to do something meaningful to help students from less developed areas. Teaching students Lego sets up the foundation for problem-solving. Lego is also great because the students can do hands-on projects and learn coding techniques. ”
Students from China said that the classroom was interesting and engaging all the time. The workshop also motivated students to pay more attention to details.
