Cecilia grows her business by opening her shop

By Belen Burgstaller | Belen Burgstaller

Cecilia is an entrepreneur from Bancalari, Tigre, in the Province of Buenos Aires.

She has been part of the MUJERES 2000 entrepreneurial community since 2022, where she has participated in various training programs, mentoring spaces, and access to microloans. Throughout this process, Cecilia has shown a strong commitment to growing her business, and this is now her seventh microloan with the organization.

Cecilia runs her business together with her mother, who is also a beneficiary of MUJERES 2000. Together, they manage a lingerie and swimwear venture, with the goal of building a stable and sustainable source of income for their household.

In Argentina, women entrepreneurs in vulnerable contexts face significant barriers to accessing formal financial services. In this context, MUJERES 2000 microloans are a key tool to sustain and grow their businesses.

Thanks to this latest microloan, Cecilia was able to take a significant step forward in her business, making a quantitative leap by opening her first physical store. This milestone not only expands her sales channels, but also allows her to strengthen her brand, increase her income, and build a more sustainable path for growth.

With the support of GlobalGiving donors, we have been able to provide Cecilia not only with financial assistance, but also with mentoring and training in finance, communication, and marketing, equipping her with the tools to continue strengthening her business.

Your commitment drives economic empowerment for women in vulnerable situations. Your contribution is truly making a tangible difference in their lives.

Thank you for your support! You are a fundamental part of our impact
