Miriam is 67 years old and is an entrepreneur from the Los Troncos del Talar neighborhood in Buenos Aires.
She joined the community of entrepreneurs of Mujeres 2000 when, she decided to apply for her first microcredit to boost her venture of designing and making children's costumes.
She is a seamstress, but also makes other products, such as cell phone holders and accesories.
Her small business, for her, is a possibility of growth that allows her to dedicate herself to her passion: sewing. She runs her sewing workshop at home!
At the beginning of March, she was granted a microloan, for $100,000 pesos (118 USD) that was used to purchase fabrics and other textile items, to continue making products.
Argentina is going through a deep economic crisis. For many women, microcredits are the only way to have financing to have a stock of products and be able to sustain their small business and consequently their main and usually, only income.
