In Mujeres 2000, through the microloan program, we provide loans and mentorship to women living in poverty so that they can launch their own small business enterprises and generate extra household income. Our entrepreneurs live in communities with few formal work opportunities, and with additional income these women are better equipped to meet urgent needs such as providing themselves and their children with adequate meals, healthcare, education, and in turn, a more promising future.
Like many Argentine entrepreneurs, not having bank financing, Barbara and Rosana needed a microloan to invest in their business. That is why they asked Mujeres 2000 for a Microloan.
Barbara needed a loan to purchase supplies to increase her production. She has a lingerie production venture. Barbara has been in the organization for 3 years and little by little her small business grew and strengthened. With a loan of 170 USD, she was able to buy supplies to increase her production.
Rosana has a small stand in her neighborhood. She sells mostly toys. Her business is very small and she used this loan to invest in toys and clothes to continue selling. With just 70 USD she was able to purchase products for her venture.
For Rosana and Barara this Little loan made a huge difference and was the chance to receive funding to make their small businesses grow.
