Dear Donors,
We are pleased to share with you the latest updates on our project that supports women in vulnerable situations.
As part of the "Hilando" project, we are currently exploring artistic languages in our new space. This adaptation phase has been key in making the space our own, starting with a reflection on what it means to move, both for the women and the children involved. Through this activity, we have addressed themes such as migration, what we take with us, what we leave behind, and the grief and desires that arise in this process.
We have also integrated our activities with the playroom and the sewing workshop, drawing inspiration from Antonio Berni's "Juanito Laguna" project. This approach allows us to introduce participants to art and the collage technique using recycled materials. In the upcoming sessions, the children will create their own "Juanitos Laguna" in the playroom, while in the sewing workshop, we are working on hand embroidery using fabric scraps, threads, and yarns. Our goal is to create a collective tapestry made up of the embroideries crafted by the participants.
We deeply appreciate your generosity and ongoing support, which enables us to provide these families with the necessary tools to build a more prosperous and secure future. Thank you for being part of this meaningful project of sociolabor inclusion for women.
