Every girl deserves the chance to complete her education and pursue a future of her choosing. Through this project, The Girl Child Foundation Uganda continues to create opportunities that help vulnerable girls remain in school and avoid the risks associated with child marriage.
During this reporting period, girls received educational support through scholarships and essential school supplies. These resources eased financial pressures on families and helped ensure that girls could continue attending school. For many beneficiaries, this support represented the difference between remaining in class and dropping out.
Beyond educational assistance, girls participated in mentorship and life-skills training programs designed to build confidence, resilience, and leadership abilities. Through interactive sessions, they learned about goal setting, decision-making, communication, and personal development. These skills are helping girls develop the confidence needed to pursue their ambitions and advocate for themselves.
Community engagement remained a key component of the project. Awareness workshops brought together parents, leaders, and community members to discuss the value of girls' education and the dangers of child marriage. These conversations encouraged greater community support for girls and strengthened local efforts to keep children in school.
As attitudes continue to change, more families are recognizing education as a pathway to opportunity and empowerment. The growing support from communities demonstrates the positive impact of sustained advocacy and outreach.
We are deeply grateful to our donors and partners for making this work possible. Together, we are creating pathways to brighter futures and empowering girls with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed.
