PROTECTING CHILDHOOD, PROMOTING EDUCATION

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for standing with us in our mission to end early child marriage in rural Uganda. Your generosity continues to provide hope and opportunity to vulnerable girls and their families.

Over the past months, project activities focused on raising awareness about children's rights and the importance of education. Community meetings brought together parents, local leaders, and youth to discuss the challenges facing girls and explore ways to keep them safe and in school.

Many participants demonstrated increased understanding of the negative consequences of child marriage, including interrupted education, health risks, and limited economic opportunities. As awareness grows, more families are choosing to prioritize education for their daughters.

Girls enrolled in mentorship sessions received guidance from trained facilitators and role models who encouraged them to pursue their goals. These sessions helped participants develop confidence, leadership skills, and a stronger sense of self-worth.

Schools reported positive outcomes among supported students, including improved attendance and greater participation in classroom activities. Teachers continue to play a vital role in identifying at-risk girls and providing encouragement.

Community leaders have strengthened efforts to monitor child protection concerns and support vulnerable families. Their active involvement is helping create safer communities where girls can thrive.

Although economic challenges continue to affect many households, we are encouraged by the growing commitment to ending child marriage and supporting girls' education.

Thank you for investing in a future where every girl can enjoy her childhood, complete her education, and reach her full potential.
