End Early Child Marriage in rural Uganda

We are deeply grateful for your continued support of our efforts to end child marriage in rural Uganda. Your generosity is helping protect childhood by keeping girls in school and away from early marriage.

During this reporting period, our project focused on strengthening awareness about the importance of allowing girls to complete their education before entering adulthood. Community meetings brought together parents, teachers, and local leaders to discuss child protection and education.

Many families demonstrated increased understanding of the risks associated with child marriage and the benefits of education. These discussions are helping shift attitudes and promote more protective behaviors.

Girls participating in mentorship programs received guidance on life skills, leadership, and self-confidence. These sessions helped them stay focused on their education and build resilience against social pressures.

Teachers reported improvements in attendance and participation among supported girls. Schools continue to play a key role in providing safe environments for learning.

Community leaders also strengthened advocacy efforts aimed at promoting children’s rights and discouraging harmful practices. Their involvement is helping reinforce community accountability.
