End Early Child Marriage in rural Uganda

Thank you for your continued support of our End Early Child Marriage in Rural Uganda project. Your generosity is helping girls pursue their dreams and stay focused on building brighter futures through education.

During this reporting period, our project continued to support girls through mentorship, education advocacy, and community engagement. Girls participated in life-skills sessions that emphasized goal setting, confidence building, and decision-making. These sessions helped them better understand their potential and remain committed to their studies.

Many girls shared aspirations of becoming teachers, nurses, business owners, and community leaders. With continued encouragement, they are gaining the confidence needed to work toward these goals despite social and economic challenges.

Community outreach activities engaged parents, caregivers, and local leaders in discussions about the importance of education and the need to prevent early marriage. These conversations helped strengthen family and community support for girls’ schooling.

Teachers reported positive improvements in attendance, classroom participation, and motivation among girls involved in the project. Schools continue to serve as safe and supportive spaces for learning and development.

Community leaders also strengthened advocacy efforts, promoting child protection and encouraging families to prioritize education over early marriage. Their leadership is helping reinforce positive change.

Every girl pursuing her dream represents hope for a stronger future. Through your support, more girls are being empowered to imagine and work toward a better life.
