Dear Donors and Supporters,
Thank you for your continued support of our End Early Child Marriage in Rural Uganda project. Your generosity is helping encourage positive change in attitudes, behaviors, and opportunities for vulnerable girls.
During this reporting period, our project focused on community sensitization and mentorship activities aimed at promoting girls’ education and preventing early marriage. Community meetings brought together parents, teachers, and local leaders to discuss how positive choices can transform the lives of girls and strengthen entire communities.
Many families demonstrated a growing willingness to support girls’ education and delay early marriage. These changes reflect increasing awareness of the long-term benefits of keeping girls in school, including improved livelihoods and healthier families in the future.
Girls participating in mentorship sessions received guidance on leadership, confidence building, and life skills. These sessions helped them better understand their rights and build the resilience needed to overcome social and economic challenges.
Teachers reported improved attendance, participation, and classroom engagement among girls benefiting from the project. Schools continue to play a vital role in identifying vulnerable learners and supporting their academic progress.
Community leaders also strengthened advocacy efforts, encouraging families to prioritize education and protect children from harmful practices. Their involvement is helping reinforce positive norms within the community.
Positive change takes time, but we are encouraged by the steady progress being made. With your support, more girls are gaining the opportunity to stay in school and pursue their dreams.
Thank you for helping encourage positive change in rural Uganda
