End Early Child Marriage in rural Uganda

Throughout this reporting period, our project continued to engage community members in discussions about girls' education, child protection, and the importance of delaying marriage. These conversations encouraged collaboration among parents, teachers, and local leaders.

Many community members expressed a stronger commitment to supporting girls and ensuring they remain in school. Increased awareness is helping shift attitudes and reduce practices that contribute to early marriage.

Girls involved in mentorship sessions received guidance on leadership, confidence building, and life skills. These sessions provided safe spaces where participants could share experiences, build resilience, and develop future goals.

Teachers reported positive changes in student behavior, including improved attendance and greater classroom participation among supported girls. These improvements reflect the impact of consistent encouragement and support.

Local leaders continue to play an important role in advocating for children's rights and strengthening child protection systems. Their leadership is helping foster environments where girls can learn and thrive.
