PROTECTING RIGHTS, TRANSFORMING LIVES

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your continued commitment to protecting the rights of girls and supporting educational opportunities in rural Uganda. Your generosity is helping transform lives and create lasting change.

This reporting period focused on strengthening awareness about children's rights and promoting community responsibility in preventing child marriage. Through educational discussions and community meetings, parents, teachers, and local leaders explored ways to protect vulnerable girls and support their educational aspirations.

Girls participating in project activities attended mentorship sessions that focused on leadership development, confidence building, and personal growth. These sessions encouraged participants to recognize their value, understand their rights, and pursue opportunities that can improve their futures.

Many girls reported increased confidence and greater determination to remain in school. Their commitment to education reflects the positive impact of consistent support and encouragement.

Schools remain important partners in identifying vulnerable students and providing assistance when challenges arise. Teachers observed improvements in attendance, participation, and engagement among girls benefiting from project interventions.

Community leaders continued to advocate for child protection and educational access, helping raise awareness about the harmful consequences of child marriage. Their efforts are strengthening local support systems and creating safer environments for children.

Protecting girls' rights is essential to building stronger communities and brighter futures. Through your support, more girls are gaining the confidence, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Thank you for helping transform lives through education and empowerment.
