EMPOWERING GIRLS TO LEAD

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your generous support of our mission to end child marriage and empower girls in rural Uganda. Your contributions continue to help young girls develop the confidence and skills needed to become future leaders.

This reporting period placed a strong emphasis on mentorship and leadership development. Through regular sessions, girls learned valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making. These activities encouraged participants to believe in their abilities and take active roles within their schools and communities.

Many girls expressed increased confidence in sharing their ideas and pursuing educational goals. They also demonstrated greater awareness of their rights and the importance of making informed decisions about their futures.

Community awareness activities complemented these efforts by engaging parents and local leaders in discussions about the value of girls' education. Families were encouraged to support their daughters' ambitions and protect them from practices that limit their opportunities.

Schools continue to play an important role in fostering positive outcomes. Teachers reported that participating students showed greater enthusiasm for learning and increased participation in classroom activities. Such improvements contribute to stronger educational performance and long-term success.

Local leaders have strengthened advocacy efforts aimed at preventing child marriage and promoting child protection. Their support is helping build communities where girls can grow up safe, educated, and empowered.

We are inspired by the determination and resilience of the girls we serve. With your continued support, they are developing into confident young leaders capable of transforming their communities.

Thank you for making this progress possible.
