RAISING AWARENESS, SAVING FUTURES

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your continued commitment to ending child marriage and protecting the rights of girls in rural Uganda. Your support is helping raise awareness, change attitudes, and create brighter futures for vulnerable children.

Throughout this reporting period, awareness campaigns remained a central component of our work. Community meetings, educational discussions, and outreach activities engaged parents, local leaders, teachers, and youth in conversations about the importance of girls' education and the dangers of child marriage.

These engagements encouraged many families to reconsider harmful practices and recognize the opportunities that education can provide. Parents increasingly understand that investing in their daughters' education contributes to stronger families and more prosperous communities.

Girls participating in the project received mentorship and life-skills training designed to strengthen self-confidence, leadership, and decision-making abilities. Participants shared aspirations for future careers and expressed determination to remain in school despite challenges.

Teachers reported positive changes among supported students, including improved attendance, greater classroom participation, and stronger academic motivation. These outcomes demonstrate the value of combining educational support with community awareness efforts.

Local leaders have continued to promote child protection messages and encourage reporting of child marriage cases. Their involvement is helping build a culture of accountability and support for vulnerable children.

As awareness grows, more communities are choosing education over early marriage and embracing opportunities that help girls succeed. Your support is making this transformation possible.

Thank you for helping us save futures and create lasting change.
