CREATING POSITIVE COMMUNITY CHANGE

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Dear Supporters,

We sincerely appreciate your continued partnership in our efforts to end child marriage and promote educational opportunities for girls in rural Uganda. Your support is helping create positive community change that benefits children and families alike.

During this reporting period, our project continued to engage communities through awareness campaigns, educational discussions, and mentorship activities. These initiatives encouraged parents, teachers, and local leaders to work together in protecting girls and supporting their educational journeys.

Community meetings provided opportunities for participants to discuss challenges affecting girls and identify practical solutions. Many parents expressed increased understanding of the importance of education and a stronger commitment to keeping their daughters in school.

Girls involved in mentorship programs received encouragement and life-skills training that strengthened their confidence and resilience. Participants learned valuable lessons about leadership, communication, and personal development while building supportive peer networks.

Schools reported encouraging progress among participating students. Teachers observed greater attendance, increased classroom participation, and improved motivation to learn. These outcomes highlight the importance of providing both educational and emotional support to vulnerable children.

Local leaders continued to advocate for children's rights and promote awareness about the risks associated with child marriage. Their involvement is helping create communities where girls are respected, protected, and encouraged to pursue their goals.

Positive change takes time, but we are encouraged by the growing commitment to supporting girls' education and well-being. Together, we are helping communities build a brighter future for the next generation.

Thank you for your continued support.
