Dear Donors,
Thank you for your concern for women facing mental health challenges across Nigeria. Your support highlights the need to close gaps that leave many women from marginalized ethnic groups without care or understanding.
In several communities, stigma and discrimination prevent women from seeking help. Mental illness is sometimes misunderstood as a spiritual issue, leading to isolation and silence. Rural health centers often lack trained counselors or safe spaces for emotional support. As a result, many women endure anxiety, depression, and trauma without guidance. This project will establish community-based counseling services and train local volunteers to offer structured emotional support. Awareness workshops will educate families and community leaders, encouraging open dialogue and early help-seeking. Partnerships with women’s associations and traditional leaders will promote acceptance and reduce stigma.
At present, no donations have been received, and funding is required before counseling services and community sessions can begin. We kindly invite you to support or share this initiative so women can access care without fear or discrimination.
With sincere appreciation,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
