Dear Valued Supporters and Friends, I am thrilled to present Global Education Campaign's latest quarterly report, showcasing the remarkable strides it has made through its sister concern, Dosti Welfare Organization, in eradicating illiteracy in Pakistan. Highlights of the Quarter: Increased Enrollment: GEC has supported an additional 62,007 students this quarter, bringing our total to an impressive 385,330 beneficiaries. This marks a substantial increase from the 323,323 students reported as of September 1, 2023. This growth signifies not just numbers but also the expanding reach of education in regions where it's most needed. Expansion into Challenging Territories: Our journey has now extended into some of the most challenging areas in Newly Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the support of government and local organizations. This includes remote and historically under-served regions of District Kurram and District Okazaki, where access to education has been a longstanding challenge. Our efforts in these areas have been particularly successful, reflecting our commitment to leaving no child behind and the willingness of the communities to ensure every child is in school. Impact of One Room School Starter Kits: The Dosti One Room School Starter Kits have continued to be a cornerstone of GEC's approach, enabling it to set up educational spaces in unconventional settings. These kits have been instrumental in areas where traditional school infrastructure is not feasible. Challenges and the Way Forward: Despite these successes, we continue to face challenges, particularly in securing consistent funding. Our mission to end illiteracy in Pakistan is ambitious, and we require ongoing support to sustain and expand our reach. Successful Affiliation with the Board

Dear builders of tomorrow,

The exciting news of this month marks a significant milestone for our college. We are pleased to inform you that after rigorous efforts and meticulous attention to detail, our college has successfully secured affiliation with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mardan (BISEM). The affiliation was an unavoidable step and it ensured that the students receive an education that is recognized and valued not only locally but also nationally.

The journey towards affiliation with BISEM Mardan involved a series of codal formalities and stringent standards that our institution had to meet. We are immensely proud to report that our team, including faculty, staff, and administrators, worked tirelessly to fulfill all the necessary requirements, including infrastructure improvements, curriculum alignment, and staff training.

Here are some key highlights of our successful affiliation:

Infrastructure Enhancement: We invested in upgrading our facilities to meet the standards set by BISE Mardan, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for our students.

Curriculum Alignment: Our academic curriculum was reviewed and revised to align with the board's guidelines, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded and accredited education.

Administrative Compliance: Our administrative processes and documentation were meticulously organized to comply with the board's regulations.

Student Benefits: This affiliation will directly benefit our students, as they will now have access to board-recognized certifications, improving their prospects for higher education and future career opportunities.

Education's Return in Remote Pakistan

Tirah Valley's school: 106 kids, bright future

Dear Friends and Supporters,

This quarter, we've witnessed remarkable progress with an addition of 52,761 students, bringing our total to an impressive 323,323 students. Dosti's efforts have resonated particularly in regions like Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Newly Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.

One of the most heartening stories from this quarter comes from the Tirah Valley in the Khyber District of Pakistan. After a decade-long gap, a One Room School was inaugurated, enrolling 106 eager students. Notably, a significant number of these students are girls, marking a monumental achievement considering the challenges in the region.

The Dosti One Room School Starter Kits continue to transform communities. Dosti's flexible model has become a beacon of hope in areas where formal school infrastructure remains a distant dream. Schools are springing up in the most unexpected places - under tree shades, in open skies, and on house verandas, instilling a profound sense of accomplishment and pride in the communities.

While our impact is palpable and growing, we face challenges, especially in the realm of funding. Despite not receiving substantial support from GlobalGiving, our optimism remains unshaken. We are continuously exploring innovative ways to sustain and expand our efforts, along with continuous assistance from the Dosti Foundation to its implementing partner, Dosti, in Pakistan.

As we look to the future, we invite friends of children and education enthusiasts to join our mission. With your continued support, we aim to reach out to even more out-of-school children in Pakistan in the coming months.
