Dear Friends, Supporters and Family of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,

The year 2020 has come and gone and with it lessons that we have learnt that it is utmost important that together we can achieve more.

Sadly with the coming of the Covid 19 pandemic affecting countries all over the world, focus shifted from other diseases which are deadlier than the C-19 pandemic as malaria kills faster than the pandemic as every minute one child in 100,000 dies of malaria. One of the symptoms of C-19 is high fever/malaria and as such when a patient is brought to the hospital they are turned back because of the fear by health workers that is a case of Covid 19 and thus do not get treated.

The situation is worse in our rural communities as the primary healthcare centers do not have adequate facilities to take care of sick and most of the time the health workers are not readily available.

Thus as part of our efforts to reduce malaria in our rural communities, we distributed 50 Insecticide Treated Nets to 50 women during the last quarter in Kumbotso Local Government Council in Kano after malaria tests were conducted on them and will increase our reach to 50 more women within the first quarter of the year 2021.

You can donate to our cause to help us reduce malaria in our communities this 2021 and we thank you for your continued support and confidence reposed in us at Serendipity.

You can follow us on twitter @serendipityHea1 or facebook/serenhealthcare to see our stories and the impact we make in our communities through your support.

Best Regards,

Niimatullah Umar
