Dear Family, Friends and Supporters of Serendipity,
Our outreach programme to ensure that we reduce malaria related deaths in our rural communities, we took our campaign to Gadan Tudun Fulani in Ungogo LGA in Kano to distribute 20 Insecticide Treated Nets to preganant women and nursing mothers.
As part of our campaign to reduce malaria, malaria tests were conducted on the 20 women but sadly 4 out of the 20 women tested positive even though they were not exhibiting signs of malaria yet.
A talk was further reinterated to the women on the need and improtance of sleeping under Insecticide Treated Nets and keeping their environment clean and free from breeding ground of vectors.
Thereafter anti malaria drugs were given to the women that tested positive and ITNS were given to all of them.
More lives have been saved as we got to the community on time for our intervention.
We intend to increase our distribution of ITNs to 50 more women and this can only be done through your generous donations.
