Our success story
Our success story

Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation

We would like to tell you a story about one of the women we have helped in one of our communities in Amarzakaya in Ungogo Local Governing Council of Kano in 2023. Amarzakaya is one of the seven communities that is malaria-prone and it is a community where we have continued malaria projects to ensure that our women and children are malaria-free. Part of our activities during our interventions is testing for Malaria cases using Rapid Diagnostics test kits, followed by the distribution of first-line treatment drugs and Insecticide Treated Nets.

Meet Fatima, a young mother in Amarzakaya who last year was pregnant when we had an intervention in their village. She was diagnosed with Malaria, putting her and her unborn child at risk. Thanks to our malaria prevention and treatment program, Fatima received treatment and learned how to prevent future cases.

One year later, we went back to Amarzakaya to give prevention drugs against relapses of Malaria, and as you can see she is healthy and her baby is thriving. Fatima educates her fellow women in the community by sharing her story of the importance of sleeping under Insecticide Treated Nets, early treatment, and continued prevention of relapse of Malaria through the usage of First Line Drugs such as a combination of Sulfadoxine and Pyrimethamine. Your Support has helped save lives.
