Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are incredibly grateful to each of you for your generous donations and unwavering support. Thanks to your contributions, we remodeled our facilities in Mexico, adding new bedrooms to welcome more students into our program. We are thrilled to share that we have grown and welcomed four new students to our home in Mexico La Cima, bringing our total to 14 young women who are now enrolled in college. These remarkable women are not only on the path to earning their degrees but also developing essential personal skills, learning English, and gaining access to opportunities that will help them break the cycle of poverty for themselves and future generations. Your support truly makes a life-changing difference, and we couldn’t do this without you
Meet our new students:
Yesenia is originally from a small community in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro and finished high school with academic excellence.
With great enthusiasm, she shares that she is the first in her family to attend college. Yesenia is studying Environmental Engineering, in the future she wants to carry out projects to improve the environment and, in addition, teach chemistry classes to young people in her community. She wants to inspire and motivate them to continue their university studies.
Marijo is a bright young woman who finished high school with exceptional grades and is now taking a big step toward her future studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance. Originally from a small community in Amealco, Querétaro, Marijo has had the unconditional support of her parents, who have encouraged her to fulfill her dream of obtaining a university degree.
With a clear vision, Marijo sees herself as a leader in her field, giving back to society the support she has received. In addition, it has the noble purpose of helping its community to take care of the environment, preserve its traditions, and offer workshops to young people to motivate them to continue their studies and achieve their goals.
Ruth is an intelligent, dedicated, sweet woman with a high academic performance. Ruth is studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Management and dreams of a full and happy life. Ruth has lived in foster homes since she was 4 years old and we are looking forward to being a family for her.
MaryCarmen is a courageous, dedicated, and intelligent young woman. She has gone through a rigorous selection process in which we had the privilege of visiting her family home, getting to know her surroundings, listening to her life story, meeting her parents, and discovering more about her dreams and aspirations for herself and her family. Mary Carmen is pursuing a Veterinary degree. We are proud to welcome such a passionate and committed student.
With heartfelt gratitude, The Gibson Soto Foundation Team
