Our student Yesenia in the Engineering Fair

Welcome to our newsletter.

Thanks to the incredible heart of our allies and volunteers, our students are reaching their goals and building a solid future every day. Your support truly makes this social transformation possible. Thank you for walking this path with us!

Congratulations, Yesenia!

From March 10th to 14th, our student Yesenia traveled to San Carlos, Guaymas, Sonora, to participate in the Mexican Science and Engineering Fair (FEMECI), proudly representing Querétaro with her talent and dedication.

Together with her team and advisor, Yesenia presented an extraordinary project titled “Synthesis of a biodegradable bioplastic made from the peel and seeds of certain fruits,” a true example of innovation and commitment to the environment!

Community Projects.

Today, we want to share with you the results of the inspiring Community Project carried out by our student Dalia, who is about to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational and Curricular Management. With a deep vocation for service, Dalia set out to teach basic English to the girls and boys in her community of San Sebastián Tenochtitlan, Hidalgo.
Despite logistical challenges—such as not receiving a response from authorities to use a community classroom—her commitment was stronger. She adapted a space in her family home and opened its doors to 10 children between 3 and 10 years of age.

To ensure that everyone learned in a fun and nurturing environment, Dalia created fully personalized teaching materials based on the age and needs of each student.
Her mission was clear: to promote educational opportunities from early childhood, recognizing that mastering a “universal” language such as English is vital for academic and professional development in today’s Mexico. Dalia helped the children develop the four basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

We are extremely proud of your resilience, empathy, and leadership, Dalia. Thank you for not giving up and for being a true agent of change in your community!

Alliances. Equinix Foundation

We had the incredible privilege of having our students visit the Equinix Data Center facilities. We want to thank the Equinix Foundation for their support and for making this possible, and to all the staff at Equinix for welcoming us with exceptional human warmth.

During this day, our future professionals lived an extremely enriching and transformative experience:

  • They enjoyed a tour of its impressive facilities.
  • They received a Master Class on what a Data Center is and how it operates.
  • They explored horizons and discovered new job opportunities in the technology sector.
  • They had an in-depth and inspiring talk about gender equality in the workplace, a vital topic for empowering our young women and fully aligned with our vision and SDG 5.

At every moment of this meeting, we were able to corroborate and feel the values that distinguish Equinix and that resonate so much with ours: Openness, Honesty, Collaboration, and Innovation.

It was a very enriching experience for all of us, broadening the vision of our young women and showing them that there are no spaces or industries where they cannot shine. Thank you for opening your doors to us, sharing your knowledge, and welcoming us with such kindness!

Financial Education Series

With the help of Desarrollo de la Comunidad A.C. , our students started the first of 10 sessions of the Financial Education workshop with great enthusiasm.

They began with a key question: “Does knowing how to decide affect the well-being of my family?” From there, the students reflected on how money directly impacts our emotions and on the importance of making smart decisions and facing their consequences.

In this first session, they built together the path they want to travel:

They defined their goals: They want to learn how to invest, use a credit card responsibly, say goodbye to “ant spending,” and meet their financial goals.

They made agreements: They committed to maintaining a “beginner’s mind”, active listening,g and a lot of respect, making it clear that they want a dynamic and participatory workshop.

Key learning: They went through Maslow’s Pyramid to learn to distinguish clearly between Needs, Wants, and Dreams.

We are proud to see them so participatory, willing to share their experience,s and ready to take charge of their financial future. This great journey is just beginning!
