Children Still Forced into Street Begging

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your interest in the End Street Begging of Children with Life Skills project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned training and support for vulnerable children have not yet begun.

Across many communities in Nigeria, children continue to beg on the streets due to poverty and lack of practical skills. This exposes them to unsafe conditions, poor health, and limited access to education.

Without opportunities to learn a trade or earn income, many remain trapped in this cycle, with little chance to improve their situation. The absence of support also affects their confidence and future prospects.

This project is designed to train 4,000 children in practical skills such as motor mechanics, hairdressing, and haircutting. It will also provide mentorship and basic tools to help them start small income activities.

With these skills, children can begin to earn, return to learning, and move away from street begging into safer and more stable lives.

We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this program can begin and reach children who need it most.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
