Dear Project Supporters,
Thanks to YOU, the children at FAWE School thrived despite the irregular school year. The school calendar was affected by closures due to the Ebola outbreak. Classes started in March 2015 instead of September 2014.
In May, a new computer teacher replaced the former computer tutor.
While school was in session, the children learned the names and functions of the various devices in the computer lab, how to boot on and shut down the computer, and topics such as: word processing – typing, formatting, drawing, inserting pictures and tables.
The first assessment was done from the 14th to the 16th of July 2015. We had 93 children attending classes.
Our new computer teacher, Mr. Williams said “It has been an amazing time with the kids this two months at FAWE School.”
School is now closed and will resume on the 31st of August 2015.
See the video below for a special message from Martha, our future doctor, who is becoming computer proficient.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Best regards,
Develop Africa team
