360 street kids were enrolled in primary schools from 12 rural areas of District Muzaffargarh after the completion of their 1 year of preschooling at AWARD preschool centres . During this one-year period, AWARD motivated and sensitized community members and parents on the importance of education. The community also assured its cooperation and support for the promotion of education in their respective areas. Kids enrollment has become a part of every project running in rural areas by AWARD. The project teams are advised to make a list of school dropout kids and later enroll them in schools with the help of the community.
The organization has so far enrolled 2000 kids to schools in several rural areas of Central Punjab and Southern Punjab.
Muaz, one of the students at the preschool, said, "I am happy to join my new school and want to become a doctor."
There are many stories that define the success of the project. However, there are funds required to enrol more kids to the schools. We request all our donors to kindly support this project.
