Your Support Helped John Get His Degree

By Amy M Baty-Herbert | Project Coordinator

John at Graduation
John at Graduation

Dear Project Supporters,

Your support is making a difference for future leaders in Nigeria, like John, who is so thankful for your support that helped him complete his education.  John is the first beneficiary of the 4-year college scholarship program for indigent students. He is a graduate of Banking and Finance and the first person in his family to get a college degree.

Growing up he desperately wanted an education because children like John understand the pivotal role education plays in lifting them out of poverty. Sadly, the dreams of getting an education by many promising students from less privileged backgrounds will never become a reality unless help comes their way in the form of scholarship opportunities.

Thank you so much for believing in the youth, investing in them and for empowering students like John to complete their education.  Your support helps them break the cycle of generational poverty, it helps them transform their lives and by extension their families as you open doors for them to acquire education and skills for better opportunities and a great future.

We encourage you to start a monthly recurring donation here to help more students like John get their education. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With great appreciation,

Amy & The Develop Africa Team
