From Our Tanzanian Team: Corn is the staple food for Amani home. It contributes to 80% of the Amani diet. Most of the corn produced in Tanzania are exported to Kenya and other parts of Africa, since the outbreak of the corona disease Tanzania has seen a huge drop in its export to other countries, especially Kenya. This has led to a drop in the price of one bag of maize in the local market. This marks the perfect time to buy more bags of corn for the next year, once the exports resume, the price might go up and make it hard to acquire enough bags not only for this year but also for the next year. Donations like your have helped us purchase 16 bags of maize for the fall - thank you for your continued support!
