Dear Donors,
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Equip 100 Healthcare Centers with Mobility Aids project. Your support reflects concern for patients who struggle to move safely during treatment and recovery in under-resourced clinics.
Many rural and small health centers do not have crutches, walkers, or wheelchairs. Patients with fractures, post-surgery needs, or mobility limitations are sometimes carried by relatives or advised to stay home. This lack of basic support increases pain, delays healing, and keeps people away from follow-up care.
This project is planned to supply 100 healthcare centers with essential mobility aids, including crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs. Each center will receive a practical kit for short-term and emergency use. Health workers will be shown how to use and care for the equipment so patients can move safely within the facility during visits and recovery.
At this stage, the donation received is not yet able to start the program. Procurement and distribution of the mobility aids will begin once additional support is secured.
With sufficient funding, these tools will help patients access care, reduce strain on caregivers, and support safer recovery within clinics. We will share updates as preparations progress.
Thank you for standing with patients and frontline health workers who need simple tools to deliver better care.
Kind regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
