Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Equip 100 Healthcare Centers with Mobility Aids project. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and concern for patients who depend on healthcare facilities for treatment and recovery.
Many rural and community health centers operate without basic mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches. Patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, fractures, strokes, or other conditions often struggle to move safely within healthcare facilities. In some cases, family members must carry patients, while others delay seeking treatment because appropriate support equipment is unavailable.
We are grateful for the donations received so far. However, the funds currently available are not sufficient to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before mobility aids can be procured, distributed, and delivered to participating healthcare centers.
This project aims to equip 100 healthcare facilities with essential mobility aids that can be used by patients during treatment and recovery. The equipment will help improve patient movement, reduce physical strain on caregivers, and support healthcare workers in providing safer and more effective care. Basic guidance on equipment use and maintenance will also be provided to facility staff.
Access to mobility aids can make a significant difference in a patient's recovery journey. Proper support helps reduce the risk of falls, encourages movement during rehabilitation, and improves comfort for people with temporary or permanent mobility challenges. The equipment will remain available for future patients, creating a lasting resource within each healthcare center.
We remain committed to implementing this project and continue working toward the resources needed to launch the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and stories from the healthcare facilities and patients who will benefit from this support.
Thank you for helping strengthen healthcare services and improve recovery outcomes for vulnerable patients.
Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
