Our aim is to help 25 families, who lost their houses due to floods and mudslides and are rebuilding them, to equip their houses with an efficient improved stove, a bed, a bunk and bedding stuff so they can sleep properly. Due to the disaster, they lost every belonging they could get. Little by little, they are recovering their livelihood components and decent housing with hope, joy and in solidarity with the members of their village.
Families that had emerged from poverty thanks to their diversified farms with productive surpluses that allowed them to enter the market and have daily healthy meals in healthy homes, lost every beloging when the mud and debris collapsed their houses. They are now rebuilding their houses in safe areas with technical assistance. But, as the crops and small animals were lost, they don't have enough income to easily buy decent beds and bedding, being affected by cold temperatures at night.
Our aim is to provide a decent bedding and an efficient kitchen to 25 families of Erajirca and Utcu who were seriously affected by the flood and landslide.
This equipment will help them to prevent respiratory illnesses. The recovery of their housing will contribute to give them a decent housing back.
