· Poverty and Rising Costs: Many families struggle to afford even the most basic school necessities—uniforms, shoes, books, and supplies. A single set of essentials can equal a month's income.
· Long and Unsafe Journeys: Children often walk miles on foot through difficult terrain, sometimes in the early morning dark or harsh weather, risking their safety just to reach the classroom.
· Hidden Fees and Levies: Beyond official tuition, incidental fees for exams, activities, or facility maintenance can force a child to drop out.
· Pressure to Work: To support their families, children are often pulled into household chores, farming, or informal labor, leaving no time or energy for school.
· Lack of Learning Materials: Many attend schools with insufficient textbooks, no libraries, and no access to technology, putting them at a severe disadvantage.
· Poor Health and Nutrition: Attending school on an empty stomach or suffering from untreated illnesses severely impacts a child's ability to learn and persist.

Without swift intervention, these 50 children will miss this critical term. Every week out of school increases the likelihood they may never return, perpetuating the cycle of poverty.
