Today is a public holiday in Uganda. While many are resting, our team chose to spend it differently—on the road to Mukono, carrying more than just supplies in our van. We carried the hopes of people who have become family.
Arriving in the community, we were greeted by the sight of children running toward us, their smiles bright enough to outshine the African sun. We unloaded necessities, sacks of maize flour, beans, and soap. But the real weight we carried was emotional.
I want you to meet Beatrice. A grandmother caring for four grandchildren in a one-room home. When we placed a new mattress in her house, she didn't just smile—she wept. "For two years, the children have slept on the bare floor," she whispered. "Tonight, they will dream on clouds."
This is what your generosity looks like in human form. It is a grandmother's tears. It is a child's wonder at a warm meal. It is dignity restored.
Thank you for choosing to be present with us today, even from afar. Because of you, a public holiday became a holy day for families in Mukono.
With profound gratitude and a full heart,
F SSIBU MISSION FOUNDATION- Uganda
