with a heavy heart, but also with a glimmer of hope—a hope that you can help us extend to a little girl named prossy.
Prossy is our newest enrollee. She is only nine years old. Just a few months ago, her world shattered when she lost her father. With no one else to turn to, she was sent to live with her elderly grandmother in a remote village.
During a recent visit to identify children in need, our team found them. The scene was heartbreaking. To survive, prossy and her grandmother were foraging for wild roots and leaves in the forest. Occasionally, a kind neighbor would share a meager portion of food, but hunger is a constant, gnawing presence in their tiny hut.
When we met prossy ,she was shy but her eyes held a quiet wisdom beyond her years. Her grandmother, frail and worn, clutched her hand and whispered that her greatest fear is not the hunger, but the future. She knows that as a poor, orphaned girl, prossy is vulnerable. Without an education and a safety net, the path she faces often leads to one terrible destination: child marriage.
We have the power to change that path. By financing prossy 's education and providing basic necessities like food and soap, we can keep her in school and keep her safe.
Will you help us give prossy the childhood she deserves and protect her from a future she cannot escape on her own?
Your support can be the difference between a life of survival and a life of hope.
