A handful of seeds, a harvest of hope

By Seguya Ivan | Project leader

Dear Friend,

Imagine a child whose future once felt as fragile as a dry leaf in the wind. Now, picture that same child holding a book, wearing a uniform, and smiling.

Today, I am writing to you not with a request, but with a victory cry. Because of your compassion, we have just crossed a monumental milestone: we have impacted the lives of over 100 children.

But numbers, while impressive, do not tell the full story. Let me share the heartbeat behind the statistics.

This year, we didn't just offer help; we offered rescue. We found 40 children who had slipped through the cracks of society—some working in dangerous conditions, others forgotten in the cycle of poverty. We didn't just walk past them. We brought them home, washed the dust off their feet, and enrolled them back into school. For these 40, the deafening silence of abandonment has been replaced by the music of a classroom.

To ensure they stay, we have placed the tools of learning into their hands. One hundred children have received scholastic materials—books, pens, and bags. To a child, a pencil is not just wood and lead; it is a magic wand that writes their future.

For our girls, we know that biology should never be a barrier to education. This term alone, 30 girls received menstrual pads. This simple provision means they don't have to hide at home for a week every month. They can stay in class, dignified and confident.

And to the girls who have faced the deepest storms, we have given an anchor. Through our mentorship program, we are fostering mental strength. We are telling them, "You are not alone. You are strong. You are worthy." We are watching fragile spirits transform into resilient leaders.

This is your harvest. You planted love, and it has returned a hundredfold. Thank you for being the reason hope is restored.

With deepest gratitude,

F SSIBU MISSION FOUNDATION-UGANDA
