Every single day, we witness moments that touch our souls because of children like them. Their laughter fills our halls, their dreams light up their eyes, and their resilience humbles us completely. And because of your incredible generosity, so many more children like them have found safety and hope under our care.
But today, I must share a small ache in our hearts. While these children have found a home with us, they still lack something so simple, yet so significant: a proper pair of shoes. It breaks our hearts to see them walk on rough ground with feet that are bare or slipping from worn-out soles that once belonged to someone else.
A kind well-wisher recently brought us a few donated shoes that no longer fit their own child. We were so grateful we wept. Watching our children try them on, their faces glowing with pride as they took those first careful steps, was pure magic. But there are only a few pairs, and so many more little feet stand waiting, hoping.
If you could see their eyes when they find shoes that fit. For that moment, they are simply children, ready to run, ready to play, ready to walk with dignity. Your kindness has given them everything. Would you help us give them this one last step toward belonging?
