Through this program, we seek to reinforce our commitment to equipping every girl with a solar lamp—a promise we have consistently communicated to you, our valued partners. As many of you have heard us share, the reality for most of these girls is that they do their homework by moonlight. On nights when a family has a few extra shillings, a kerosene lamp may be lit to provide a faint, unhealthy glow in the corner of a room.
This is not a safe or sustainable solution. Kerosene fumes harm young lungs, the light is poor for reading, and the cost—however small—steadily drains household resources that could otherwise go toward food or school fees.
With your supportive hand, we are thrilled to move from problem to promise. Thanks to your continued partnership, we are now positioned to supply girls with durable, high-quality solar lamps. These lamps do not require fuel, are safe for indoor use, and provide reliable light for hours of study each night. Beyond academics, solar light brings a sense of dignity, safety, and hope into the home.
Your support transforms a girl’s evening from a struggle against darkness into an opportunity for learning and growth. Together, we are lighting more than a room—we are lighting a future. We invite you to stand with us as we expand this initiative, reaching more girls, one solar lamp at a time. Thank you for making this vision a reality.
