Through our program, many of the children we rescue and care for arrive in severely compromised health. The majority are infected with multiple illnesses that cripple their physical and cognitive development—ranging from parasitic infections and chronic diseases to untreated respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions. These health burdens not only weaken their bodies but also drain the energy and focus needed for learning.
We have learned a fundamental truth: for a child to stay focused in school, that child must first be healthy. Hunger, pain, and fatigue from untreated infections make concentration impossible, no matter how dedicated the teacher or how well-equipped the classroom. Therefore, our program addresses this crisis head-on through regular health camps designed specifically for the children under our care. These camps provide mass deworming, micronutrient supplementation, vaccination catch-ups, and treatment for acute and chronic infections.
In addition, we have hired dedicated healthcare workers who monitor each child’s health continuously—not just during camp days. They track growth, administer medications, recognize early warning signs of illness, and coordinate with local clinics for serious cases. This ongoing medical oversight ensures that a child recovering from malaria, scabies, or intestinal worms does not fall through the cracks. By integrating health and education, we create a stable foundation: healthy children who attend school regularly, engage actively in lessons, and have a real chance to break the cycle of poverty. Without this holistic care, the classroom remains out of reach.
Thank you dear donors for making these health camps possible
