Orphaned after losing her father—the family’s sole pillar of strength—Gorret now lives with her mother in a modest shelter, exposed to hunger, cold, and uncertainty. Their world lacks clean water, warm bedding, and sufficient food. Yet despite the weight of loss, Gorret still dreams of simple joys: a notebook for school, a warm meal, or a blanket against the bitter night.

Thanks to your compassionate response, we were able to provide monthly sponsorship to Gorret’s family. This support allowed her mother to secure medicine for Gorret’s recurring illness, buy proper clothing, and ensure the child no longer sleeps hungry. Beyond material aid, your generosity sent a powerful message: Gorret is not forgotten. Her mother, who once feared for their survival, now speaks of hope. Gorret herself has begun attending school daiy, smiling for the first time in months.
