Dear Donors,
On behalf of everyone at f ssibu Mission foundation,I am pleased to share a heartening update from the field. Today, May 30, 2026, we successfully completed a shoe distribution for the children of Kirimwa Village.
Thanks to your generous contributions, a total of [number, if available] children received properly fitted, durable shoes. For many of these children, this was their first pair of shoes ever. The distribution took place at the Kirimwa Village community hall, coordinated by our field team alongside village elders and parent volunteers.
The need in Kirimwa was urgent: most children were walking barefoot on rocky, hot, or muddy paths to reach school and fetch water, exposing them to cuts, infections, and soil-transmitted diseases. Today’s distribution directly addresses those risks, helping protect their health and enabling safer travel to and from school.
Highlights from today:
· Children were measured individually to ensure proper fit and comfort.
· A simple hygiene talk was included, explaining how wearing shoes can prevent jiggers and other foot infections.
· The atmosphere was joyful—several children ran short races in their new shoes right after receiving them.
What this means:
Your support has not only provided footwear but also restored a sense of dignity and normal childhood activity. Parents reported that lack of shoes had previously kept some children from attending school, especially during the rainy season.
We will return to Kirimwa in one month for a follow-up check on shoe condition and usage.
On behalf of the children of Kirimwa Village—thank you for making this possible.
With deepest gratitude,
F SSIBU MISSION FOUNDATION-UGANDA
