Drug abuse among children and young people remains a growing concern in many communities. Many girls and boys become vulnerable to this practice when they stay at home without access to education. Without the structure and guidance that school provides, they are more likely to spend time with negative peer groups, where harmful behaviors such as drug and substance abuse are often introduced at an early age.
At F Ssibu Mission Foundation, we have strengthened our mentorship program by engaging dedicated mentorship tutors who work closely with children and adolescents. These mentors provide guidance, life skills education, counseling, and positive role models that help young people make informed decisions and resist negative influences. Through regular mentorship sessions, children learn about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of education, discipline, and personal development.
We are already witnessing positive change. Children who remain in school are less likely to engage in risky behaviors and are more focused on building a brighter future. Education not only keeps them occupied with learning but also connects them to supportive teachers, mentors, and peers.
We sincerely thank our donors for their continued support. By helping vulnerable children stay in school through educational assistance, you are playing a vital role in reducing drug abuse within our communities. Your generosity is giving children hope, protection, and opportunities to grow into responsible and productive members of society.
