As temperatures drop, many families we serve face an impossible choice: buying food or buying warmth for their children. Through our Blanket Distribution Initiative, F Ssibu Mission Foundation is making sure no child has to go without either.
To date, we've provided free blankets to more than 50 children from families who simply cannot afford them. For many of these children, this is the first time they've had a blanket of their own — something to keep them warm through the night, and something that tells them someone is looking out for them.
This initiative sits alongside our core six-pillar program, reinforcing what we already know: when a child's basic needs are met, they're better able to stay in school, stay healthy, and stay connected to their community.
