In Eastern Uganda, many children walk barefoot every day — to school, to fetch water, to help with chores at home. What seems like a small inconvenience is actually a serious health risk: bare feet expose children to parasitic infections that can cause long-term damage to their health and development.
Through our Shoes Distribution Initiative, F Ssibu Mission Foundation is working to break this cycle. By providing free, sturdy shoes to children whose families cannot afford them, we're protecting kids from parasites that enter through the skin — while also giving them the dignity of walking to school like any other child.
This initiative complements our broader six-pillar program, because a child fighting off a parasitic infection is a child who struggles to concentrate in class, stay healthy, and thrive.
Every pair of shoes we distribute is a direct investment in a child's health and future. Your support helps us reach more children before infection — not opportunity — determines their path.
