By F ssibu mission foundation | Project leader
Through our Keep in School program, F Ssibu Mission Foundation has identified two girls currently at high risk of dropping out of school due to lack of basic resources and family hardship. Both girls have now been welcomed into the program and are in urgent need of sponsorship to remain enrolled and supported through the coming school term.
Why Sponsorship Matters
Girls facing poverty and family hardship are among the most likely to drop out of school permanently. A modest, consistent sponsorship — covering school materials, sanitary products, and uniforms — can be the difference between a girl staying in class and losing her chance at an education altogether.
Reshaping Communities in Mukono and Eastern Uganda
Beyond individual girls, the Keep in School program is helping reshape the fabric of communities across Mukono and Eastern Uganda. Every girl who stays in school becomes a visible example that breaks the cycle of early dropout, teenage pregnancy, and child marriage that has long affected the region. As more girls complete their education, families begin to see daughters as future providers and leaders, not just as domestic labor — shifting deep-rooted community attitudes toward girls' education. Schools themselves grow stronger as retention rates rise, and local health and stigma-reduction efforts embedded in our six-pillar program ripple outward, improving peer relationships and community dialogue around health and wellbeing. Over time, these individual success stories accumulate into a broader community transformation — more educated young women, stronger families, and communities better equipped to support the next generation of girls.
With Gratitude
To our donors, past and present — thank you. Your generosity has already changed lives and continues to make programs like this possible. Every uniform provided, every school fee covered, and every girl kept in class is a direct reflection of your commitment to a better future for these communities. We are deeply grateful for your partnership and hope you will continue to walk this journey with us.
